Apparently all the cool blogger kids are checking out their analytics to see what search terms are landing people on their blog.
Therefore, I had to go and take a peek at my own. I routinely check to see who’s on the blog, where they’re coming from, who’s linking here, etc. but I rarely look at the search terms.
The top one is, uh, a bit interesting. This search term landed people on my blog twice as often as YouTube, Facebook and MySpace.

Unfortunately, that’s about as funny as it gets.
As far as other search terms, we have:
Licking Kleenex: why you would search for that is way beyond me!
Cha cha cha: I wasn’t aware this was a dance blog!
Can’t live without my child: nor should you have to unless you’re a child abuser.
Blogging bullshit: enough said.
Gay act ferret: ??
Ferret gay butt: apparently people have serious issues with their ferrets being gay. Who knew?
My blog seriously needs to work on its funny. For real.
But then again,
“Based on internet averages, dontlicktheferrets.com is visited more frequently by females who are in the age range 25-34, have children and are graduate school educated.”
Smart people read my blog! Smart WOMEN read my blog. Need I say more?!
I'm 44, 2 kids, 2 graduate degrees. I guess I fit right in.
