I had the day off for Valentine’s Day, a perk of being self employed.
Ash let Bug and I sleep in a bit while she made me us coffee and heart shaped cinnamon rolls!
We Hung out at home for a bit, made ourselves presentable and took Bug to her most favorite dining place on earth, Chuck E Cheese.
Where did Chuck E go?!?!
We managed to get ONE photo with Ash and I.
I love this kid’s cheesy face!
After lunch, we headed to the mall for our annual Build-A-Bear trip. This is the third Valentine’s Day we have taken Bug, but the first where she wanted to choose her pal. You can view her pal’s from her first two Valentine’s Day trips on this post.
We were a bit delighted by her choice.
She even helped Mom make her pal’s official paperwork.
We couldn’t leave the mall without a quick trip to the mall play area. I think I look like Cruella in this photo. This is a first, and hopefully a last.
After our outing, someone crashed in the car!
When we got home, Ash whipped up an amazing dinner of my favorite foods while Bug and I made a Valentine’s art project.
Since she paints naked, this photo must suffice. Sushi and art!
We exchanged gifts and my wife, per usual, totally outdid me! Of course, we failed to photograph that portion of the event because it wasn’t child focussed!
Aside from a monstrously crabby and defiant toddler in the morning, it was an idyllic Valentine’s Day. Thankfully her attitude improved before we left the house!
I love love.
My wife totally rocked Valentine’s Day last year, as well!
Bug’s adorable dress was made by one of my real-life, hooker BFFs, The Hectic Hockey Mom.

Regarding the photo where you think you look like Cruella: I just had to say that my immediate thought was how much of a resemblance there is between you and Bubba in that shot!
Oh, that boy is my mini me in more ways than looks!
We had a blast! I love it too! I have to figure out how to teach myself to make them!
Looks like a really fun day!!! And I love J’s dress!!! So cute!
Love it! She’s adorable! I can’t believe it’s so big… *makes mental not to adjust pattern* Good news, it’ll fit her for the next 6 years… LOL
Note** (I’ve only had 1 cup of coffee today, don’t judge…)
It’s perfect for layering now and she will get tons of use out of it! I love it!!
